Dear friends of Matteson Mission School,
We are happy to send you greetings from the mission trip in Honduras. It is a privilege for us to serve here at VIDA Internacional. The students get a great opportunity to take responsibility and thus grow in character, skills and experience.
The young missionaries are teaching children, building, tilling the ground, tending plants, producing media, taking care of sick people, organizing health evangelism programs, contributing to administration and the highlight will be an evangelistic campaign at the end of the stay here.
The meetings will be held in the culture hall in the center of El Suyatal, a town of about 5,000 inhabitants, and the focal point of VIDA Internacional’s efforts. The focus area of VIDA Internacional, with about 5,000 inhabitants. The sermons will cover the Great Controversy and the necessity and beauty of choosing a life with Christ. A children’s program and concert will also be connected to the campaign.
In the countryside of Honduras, being a third-world country, most everything, including finances, is scarce. Therefore we decided to ask our friends back home if you would like to contribute.
Funds are needed to rent the facility (ten evenings) for advertising and books to give to the participants (Steps to Christ), fuel to get materials and pick up contacts, and food to serve after the meetings. All of these needs can be met with a budget of approximately US$ 1,000/NOK 5,600.
The students are diligently and prayerfully preparing for this campaign and we believe that God will provide and bless the effort. If God puts it on your heart to make some of your means available for this purpose, or to keep this project in your prayers, both will be highly appreciated.
Feel free to forward this call to others who might share your interest in evangelistic work.
Please use the account of Granheimstiftelsen 1020 07 09654 (IBAN: NO82 10200709654 SWIFT: EIDSNO21XXX ) and earmark it “Honduras 2013”.
May God bless you richly.
