May 12-14 2017: Spring Inspiration Weekend

Speaker: Dave Fiedler
Date: May 12 – 14, 2017
Place: Matteson Mission School / Adventist Church, Mysen

“The Gospel to the whole world.”

Maybe you have heard this statement many times, and, as great and powerful as it sounds, it raises questions. ‘Why does it need to happen?’ And not just why, but ‘when will it (finally) happen?’ And if these questions weren’t hard enough to answer, how about ‘how will it happen?

All these questions are worth asking, and yet even more valuable are answers. Better still, maybe one answer can suffice; look to the “new, old way” – go against the worst evil.

Join us at Spring Inspiration Weekend this year as we discover this “new, old way” and the Lord’s repeated guarantee that it’s the answer we’ve been looking for all along.

Dave Fiedler spent twenty years in Adventist classrooms sharing his love for common sense and history with scholars from fifth grade through to university. Since 2008, he has been seeking to learn the combination of practical ministry and evangelistic outreach that the Spirit of Prophecy says will take the gospel to the large cities of the world. Dave has written three books–Hindsight: Seventh-day Adventist History in Essays and Extracts (lessons from Adventist history), d’Sozo: Reversing the Worst Evil, and Tremble. He currently lives in British Columbia, Canada, with his wife, Clarissa.

October 7-9 2016: Fall Inspiration Weekend

16-09-01 Website header

Speaker: Kenneth Jørgensen
Date: October 7-9
Place: Matteson Mission School / Adventist Church, Mysen

Hundreds of years ago, there existed a small group of people. They were hated, and yet they loved. Exterminated, and yet they grew. Regarded as false, and yet their words, their thoughts, their actions, spread the truth which transformed the world. And, although many believe their work has finished, this group – the few – are about to enter into one final battle, one final struggle – one final victory.

Join us at Fall Inspiration Weekend, as we discover truths about the Reformation, and that, although it may be hundreds of years old, you have an important part to play!

Themes include:

  • The War between Truth and falsehood
  • Church history up to Luther
  • Luther’s break with Rome
  • Christianity divides and the truth unfolds
  • The remnant survives to the Second Coming

Run for Matteson Join the "fundrace" - no winners or losers

Maybe you don’t have so much money but would still like to support Matteson Mission School? Or maybe you like to run – how much more fun is it to run together for a good purpose?

Both these things can be combined! Young or old – join us in running to fund raise for Matteson Mission School.

Register and you will receive a form where family members, friends and other people can commit to sponsoring a certain amount for each lap you run.

Last year, we raised what we needed for a new lawn mower, Thermomix and two garden trimmers, which have all being a great blessing to the school.

This year, we have another project to run for. We would like to renovate 2 of the rooms at Opsand (male dormitory). The total cost of the work is around 50.000 kr which includes floor, walls and some furniture. We will do most of the work ourselves which keeps the expenses lower.

When: Sunday, 1st of May;

Time: 12.00 – 12.30

Where: Granheim, 1850 Mysen

Lap: ~600m

You are welcome to enjoy lunch afterwards at the school! But why not come for the whole weekend and join us in our Spring Inspiration Weekend. You can read more information about it here.
